COURSE: 1 YEAR PRe-vocational course

CONTACT HOUR 25+ PER WEEK

The focus of our 1 Year Pre-Vocational course is to push students’ talent to the next level. Mastering the technical aspects of Performing Arts and spending the maximum amount of time available focusing on the practical aspects of their future career.

Audition preparation, performance technique and building on skills already learnt are all goals for this year.

Students who are hoping to go onto further education in Musical Theatre, Singing, Performing Arts, Acting or Dance will be taught the techniques to cope with the vigorous audition process that leads to gaining a place in these top vocational schools. Help is given with the personal statement and application to these colleges.

A key aspect to our Pre-Voc program is to ensure that each student continues to develop their skills to the high industry standard required. Students who may wish to step straight into the world of work after completing this year, will feel supported and challenged from taking part in a minimum of two productions: Christmas Cabaret and the annual Summer Showcase at The Grove Theatre; providing valuable live performance experience and an opportunity to develop skills and expand repertoire.
